Ahead of his testimonial, against Dewsbury Rams this coming Sunday, Leroy Cudjoe has spoken to the Rams’ website.
Are you all set for the game against Dewsbury?
“Unfortunately, I am currently injured so I won’t be able to play in the game. I am very disappointed that I can’t play, but sport can be cruel sometimes and I’ve just got to accept it and enjoy the day.
“I am very grateful to the Rams for agreeing to play in the game and they were more than happy to accept the offer. It also adds a little bit of spice with it being a Kirklees derby.
You have played all your professional career at the Giants. What is it that you like so much about the club?
“I’ve been very fortunate to be able to become a one club man. I am very passionate about the Giants and Huddersfield as a whole. There is nothing better than being able to represent your hometown club.
What advice do you have to young players who have just started out in the game?
“I am a strong believer in you get out what you put in, there is no secret, you just have to work hard. There is a lot of talent in the local area and with a lot of work and passion you will go a long way.
What other events do you have planned for this year? It may give Paul Sykes an idea, as it is also his testimonial year.
“I’ve hopefully got an open dinner that will be announced in due course, but I would like to wish Paul all the best with his testimonial. He’s been a great player and it is well deserved.
Finally, how is your injury progressing?
“My injury is going really well, but there are no dates planned for my return yet. I am happy with where I am at the moment and looking forward to getting back out there when the time is right”
