The Dewsbury Rams media team has grown following the arrival of new member, Lucas Whitehead.

Lucas’s main role will be to edit the Rams’ match day programme, but he will also make a wider contribution to the club’s media output on and away from match days.

He joins existing media team members Tom Coates, Steven Downes and James Taylor, who fulfil a number of roles, including news reporting, social media, website maintenance, scoreboard operation and match day announcements.

Lucas, 18, adds expertise in a number of fields, including graphic design, and he has recently created a suite of social media graphic templates that will be utilised throughout the 2018 season.

He will fulfil the role in a voluntary capacity alongside his full-time position as a marketing assistant for security products and services distributor Videcon, who are based in Heckmondwike.

Rams media team member Tom Coates said: “Lucas successfully applied for the role of programme editor and has since shown great enthusiasm for getting involved with the wider media operation at the club.

“We’re delighted to have him on board and I am sure that the club’s supporters will make him feel welcome, as they have done with Steven since his own arrival at the start of the 2016 season.”
