Harry Woollard signs for Dewsbury

Dewsbury Rams are pleased to have signed Huddersfield Giants centre, Harry Woollard, for the 2018 season.

The 19-year-old signed for the Giants aged just 16 following a successful junior career with Shaw Cross Sharks, Dewsbury Moor and Drighlington.

He has been described by former Huddersfield player, Luke Robinson, now the U19’s Head Coach at the Giants, as “a tough operator, who leads by example”.

Harry spoke exclusively to the Rams’ website.

Can you outline your career so far?

“My career so far has been really good. I have had a strong academy career at the Giants, with me winning the academy player of the year last season, and finishing 5th as a team.

What was behind your decision to sign for Dewsbury?

“I am impressed with the direction the club is heading in, and they are continuing to improve. I am a Dewsbury boy, and have lived in Dewsbury the majority of my life.

What are your goals for next season at the Rams?

“I want to cement a place in the team and make sure that I perform well given the opportunity.”

Harry will join up with the Rams for the pre-season for the 2018 season.
